galvanized conduit pipe

1, Light-weight ductile steel conduit for long life and easy bending
2, Weighs 1/3 less than rigid conduit
3, Saves up to 30% in cost over GRC
4, Hot galvanized exterior to increase corrosion resistance and protect against white rust
5, Interior coating creates a smooth, continuous raceway for fast wire-pulling

Galvanized conduit pipe is precisely manufactured for economical protection and the lasting value of the electrical rail system. We use it as a thin-walled alternative to rigid metal conduits (RMC). Its weight is about one-third less. IMC ships with either a straight-tapped or integral coupling. It features a galvanized OD and corrosion-resistant ID coating.

Combined with the ductility of electrical and mechanical properties, our intermediate metal pipe (IMC) is made of premium hardened hot rolled flat steel by resistance welding (ERW) process. The finished pipe is uniform in out diameter, wall thickness and stiffness. IMC is resistant to impact and is easy to cut, bend and join for smooth, continuous raceways. Our IMC is stronger, lighter in weight, low costs in transportation, and cheaper than GRC.Besides, its consistent metallurgical performance and smooth surface reduces installation costs. In fact, it can save 30% of your overall cost. And also provides excellent shielding from electromagnetic fields.

Galvanized conduit pipe advantages

The inner metal conduit (IMC) has a larger internal diameter than RIGID conduit to allow for easier fishing and wire-pulling. IMC is also more rigider than RIGID conduit to provide superior wiring protection in many applications. In a word, Intermediate metal conduit (IMC) is of lightweight, and stronger than rigid conduit. It is suitable for use in hazardous locations. Larger interior diameter helps enable faster wire pulling.

IMC is interchangeable with galvanized RMC. Both have threads with a 3/4-inch-per-foot taper, use the same couplings and fittings, have the same support requirements and are permitted to be used in the same locations.IMC is available in trade sizes 1/2 through 4, and 10′ lengths. Threads on the uncoupled end are covered by industry color-coded thread protectors to protect the threads, keep them clean and sharp, and aid in trade size recognition. Thread protectors for trade sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4 are color-coded orange; trade sizes 1/2, 1 1/2, 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 are yellow; and trade sizes 3/4 and 1 1/4 are green.
